Responsibilities
- Own and execute software tasks across the full development cycle, including design, modeling, implementation, testing, integration, and deployment.
- Maintain rigorous testing, repeatable processes, thorough design documentation, and reliable delivery aligned to customer mission needs.
- Design software with end users in mind, seeking feedback to strengthen partnerships and foster a growth mindset.
- Act as a contributing team member by managing your workload, planning tasks, and delivering on schedules; mentor junior engineers and peers.
- Communicate software concepts and architectural choices clearly to peers and external partners; pursue innovative solutions and modern frameworks.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of proven systems engineering experience delivering high-consequence technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer/software engineering, or equivalent knowledge from apprenticeship and professional work.
- Strong software engineering skills with a track record of solving software problems across subsystems and small systems.
- Delivery-focused mindset; fully complete coding tasks and bring production-ready software across the finish line.
- Autonomy and accountability; manage your workload independently and transparently report blockers.
- Trust and integrity; a history of accountability and doing the right thing.
- Active SECRET clearance (US citizenship required).
- Python Developer: deep knowledge of asyncio and scripting; experience binding C++ to Python via pybind11 or Cython.
- Kubernetes Specialist: containerization with Docker, managing Pods/Deployments/StatefulSets, and writing custom K8s Operators or optimizing low-latency cloud infrastructure.
- Systems & DevOps Engineer: Linux internals, distributed systems design, CI/CD automation (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions), and observability (Prometheus/Grafana).
