Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative software solutions, including architecture, development, and troubleshooting, with the ability to tackle problems beyond standard approaches.
- Inspire and mentor a team of entryβ to midβlevel engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Oversee technical design, architecture, and implementation to deliver scalable, highβquality outcomes.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are respected during coding.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to produce visualizations and reporting that support ongoing software and systems improvements.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring remediation tasks to improve operational stability.
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs and determine applicability to existing systems.
- Foster communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new technologies.
- Drive adoption of enterpriseβauthorized AI assisted engineering practices to enhance code quality, delivery speed, and outcomes, while establishing validation standards and encouraging pattern reuse.
- Leverage SDLC tools, including AI assisted development and automation capabilities, to maximize automation value.

Requirements
- Formal training or certification in Software Engineering concepts plus 5+ years of practical experience.
- Proven leadership in using approved AI assisted software development tools, with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
- Handsβon experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced grasp of agile practices including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and processes within a technical discipline (cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.).
- Ability to tackle design and functionality challenges independently with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in Java, REST, and microservices, with experience building event driven microservices and Kafka streaming.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and public or private cloud infrastructure.
- Proven track record of providing end user support with strong problemβsolving abilities.
