Job Description

Build and maintain enterprise-grade data pipelines that support reporting and analytics through reliable data systems.

Responsibilities

Design and develop data warehouse and data lake solutions
Assist with building and maintaining ETL processes
Create data pipelines to move data from source systems into storage platforms
Support data cleaning and preprocessing to maintain high data quality
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, addressing issues as they occur
Maintain system logs and support smooth operation of data workflows
Assist with maintaining and upgrading existing data infrastructure, including databases and data warehouses
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
Document data workflows, pipelines, and related technical processes
Keep organized records for data sources and data transformations

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, analytics, mathematics, business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)
2-3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL and Python
Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server
Strong understanding of SQL for querying and manipulating relational data
Exposure to data processing tools and frameworks for on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., PySpark, ETL tools, SSIS, Azure Data Factory)
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and analysts
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Databricks (also AWS, Azure, GCP)
Willingness to learn and develop skills in data engineering technologies

Responsibilities

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a Bachelor’s degree (3+ years with a Master’s degree).
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience writing commercialized software in a professional environment.
Strong experience with .NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework.
Proficiency writing efficient SQL for PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL.
Experience with major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or equivalent.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (such as Docker or Kubernetes).
Proficiency with Git and familiarity with change tracking tools.
Deep knowledge of monitoring, observability, and logging tools such as Datadog or Grafana.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (such as Terraform).
Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, including integration with external APIs.
Strong ability to debug and troubleshoot software and system issues.
Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
