Embedded Software Engineer II

Embedded Software Engineer II roles focus on C++ development for Linux-based touch screen applications, from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software applications and systems aligned to business requirements
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code and test software to meet quality standards
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues
• Collaborate with stakeholders including project managers, designers, and QA engineers to ensure delivery meets business needs
• Maintain and update existing software applications and systems
• Support end users through software troubleshooting and training
• Prepare and present technical reports and project recommendations
• Participate in department improvement activities
• Support company culture through daily actions
• May perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and assist in other areas as needed
• Learn, understand, continuously improve, and promote the quality management system in accordance with ISO standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (including Master’s + Internship)
• Demonstrated expertise in technical skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in the field of support
• Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Must have C++ (14/17) experience, with knowledge of threading
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Ability to apply design theory and methodology
• Proficiency with the Linux Operating System, GIT, and Jira
• Ongoing education and/or seeking mentorship to further develop skills
• Additional skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in a field related to the position as identified by department leadership
• Prior experience in Agriculture and/or Agricultural Guidance Application Development
• Team player with self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff
• Travel may be necessary depending on the position
• U.S. Citizenship may be required depending on the position

Compensation and Pay Transparency

• Annual salary range: $86,625 - $132,825
