Job Description

Join an AWS-based enterprise environment to build and support websites and mapping applications that visualize geospatial data.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team to develop and maintain websites and mapping applications for visualizing and distributing geospatial data
  • Create Python scripts that generate geospatial data products
  • Support a broad set of technologies, including PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML
  • Work alongside a skilled web development team supporting the USGS EROS Integrated Science Applications Branch

Requirements

  • Experience supporting a wide range of technologies to visualize geospatial data
  • Knowledge of software engineering methodologies and practices for effective collaboration with a highly qualified web development team
  • Hands-on experience using PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and other technologies
  • Highly desired: prior experience working with geospatial tools for analysis, visualization, or data handling workflows
