Job Description

Class Boxes Technologies is hiring a Full Stack Java Developer in Austin, TX (onsite). This role is built for engineers who want to work across the stack, delivering scalable, high-performance web applications in an Agile environment with AWS and Azure. You will take ownership of features from design through delivery, while using modern Java and JavaScript frameworks.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java, JavaScript, React, Express, and other modern frameworks.
  • Build RESTful APIs, integrate third-party services, and support system functionality improvements.
  • Develop scalable microservices architectures using best practices aligned with performance and system design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Manage repositories and code changes using GitHub and SVN.
  • Participate in Agile delivery cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Optimize applications for scalability, security (including RBAC), and performance in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.

What you bring

  • Proven software development experience with strong focus on Java and JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design, system architecture, and microservices deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure for application hosting and scalability using AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL or SQL Server; experience with database schema design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles including design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools such as Git or SVN.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Exposure to IT infrastructure concepts, Linux, and languages such as Python or C++ is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A bachelor’s degree completed after 2015 and before 2025.
  • US work authorization is required (USC or Green Card).

Compensation and location

Location: In person, Austin, TX.

Salary: USD 65,000 - 110,000 per year.
