Rio Salado Community College in Tempe, Arizona is seeking an Application Developer (Specially Funded) to design, implement, and maintain division websites using Drupal. The role combines front end and back end development with podcast and mobile app support, delivering accessible and secure digital experiences for students and staff in an on-site setting.
Responsibilities
- Configure, customize, and theme division websites to meet ongoing needs.
- Evaluate feature requests, research options, test solutions, and implement appropriate changes.
- Develop, test, and debug custom Drupal modules.
- Assess websites for accessibility issues and implement corrective measures.
- Monitor performance, databases, and server security; troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Provide staff with technical support and training on content creation, security, and best practices.
- Collaborate with staff to improve existing website processes and workflows.
- Create web content, including graphics, as requested.
- Support listeners for website issues, audio streams, smart speakers, and mobile apps.
- Configure and maintain podcast feeds and their distribution across platforms.
- Provide custom analytics data for websites and podcasts as requested.
- Research new software and thirdβparty apps and services; stay informed about web development trends and share knowledge with the team.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or related field, plus two years of applications development experience in a related area.
- An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification, and directly related full-time work experience may be considered to fulfill the essential duties, as allowed by law and regulation.

Hiring Salary Range
$73,670.00 - $95,771.00 annually, based on experience
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; some evenings and weekends may be required.
