Job Description
Grit Overland is hiring a Full-Stack Developer for an on-site role in Washougal, WA. This is a full-time position centered on taking ownership of four in-house production applications and the integrations that connect them, with an agent-first workflow built around TypeScript end to end.
You will be responsible for extending existing systems, fixing issues, and keeping delivery moving from GitHub through CI to production deployments on Railway. The environment includes Zoho, Klaviyo, Twilio, and ad platforms, plus supporting infrastructure for deployments, DNS, and admin tooling.
What you’ll own
- Own and extend four in-house production apps: build calculator, CRM/phone system, attribution tracker, and AI writer, including bug fixes, new features, and uptime.
- Serve as the technology lead for those systems, taking the systems over rather than being left to run isolated tasks.
- Own end-to-end “plumbing” between systems using APIs and webhooks across Zoho, Klaviyo, Twilio, Google ads, and Meta ads.
- Build workflows that connect customer configuration to business outcomes: a chain where a customer configures a van in the calculator, resulting in an estimate in Zoho that sales can convert into an invoice and real payment.
- Deliver the ecommerce build-out, including a Shopify storefront and product listings (photos, specs, descriptions) wired into Zoho ERP, alongside the WordPress site.
- Keep core services running: GitHub, Railway, SiteGround, Cloudflare, DNS, Microsoft 365, and Zoho One administration.
- Maintain accurate runbooks for access and recovery, ensuring they stay current.
Agent-first development and orchestration
- Orchestrate coding agents through the full cycle: research, planning, implementation, review, and deploy.
- Own context engineering to make agents effective, including project instruction files, skills, MCP servers, and scripts each codebase carries.
- Protect configuration and secrets hygiene: secrets live in .env files and the vault, not in a repo.
Marketing execution scope included
- Generate emails using the in-house AI writer and build them in Klaviyo.
- Keep RV marketplace listings current.
- Participate in the monthly session with the SEO firm.
- Monitor analytics weekly.
Requirements
- Shipped and maintained production web applications, solo or on a small team, with comfort owning your own deploys.
- TypeScript end to end: React front ends, Node/Express APIs, and Postgres.
- Experience wiring SaaS systems together using REST APIs, webhooks, auth, and the “unglamorous glue” between services.
- Daily comfort with agent-first development in tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Cline, and the ability to show work built this way.
- Bonus: prior experience with Zoho, Klaviyo, or Twilio.
- Comfortable with systems administration, including DNS records, admin consoles, user accounts versus shared mailboxes, and API key hygiene.
- Ownership mindset: notice issues, triage, and fix without waiting for tickets.
Tech stack you’ll work with
- TypeScript, React, Node/Express, Postgres
- Twilio, PHP, WordPress, Shopify
- GitHub, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Cline, MCP servers
- Railway, SiteGround, Cloudflare, DNS
- Microsoft 365, Zoho, Zoho ERP, Zoho One, Klaviyo
- Google ads, Meta ads
- REST APIs, webhooks, auth, CI, continuous deployment
- Zoho CRM, Twilio (phone system)
Compensation and benefits
- Salary: USD 72,000 - 98,000 per year (depends on experience)
- Health insurance
- Dental insurance
- Vision insurance
- Paid time off
- 401(k) with matching
How work is delivered
- Each application lives in its own project folder with its own context.
- Delivery runs through GitHub with staging and production branches, plus CI and continuous deployment to Railway.
- The site uses WordPress on SiteGround, and the workflow emphasizes judgment, including scoping work, directing agents, and deciding what to trust and test.
- Claude Code is recommended for the terminal workflow, with the process considered the requirement.
Application details
- Send a resume and a short note about something real you shipped through an agentic workflow, including what you built and what broke along the way.
- Describe your setup: which agent or IDE you use, how you structure context, and how work moves from idea to production.
- Include a link to something to review (a repo or a live app if available), since the note and link matter more than the resume.
