Job Description

Austin Hose is hiring an Application Developer 1 to help build and maintain responsive front-end applications, connect systems through APIs, and support deployed software. This onsite role in Amarillo, TX centers on collaborating with back-end and IT infrastructure teams while maintaining IT security and data standards as part of everyday development work.

You will play a key role across the application lifecycle, from design and implementation through API development and ongoing technical support for applications already in production.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement responsive front-end applications that work across screen sizes.
  • Develop and consume APIs to enable reliable data exchange.
  • Collaborate with back-end and IT infrastructure teams to align solutions with system requirements.
  • Ensure work remains in compliance with IT security and data standards.
  • Provide technical support for deployed applications to help keep them running effectively.

What you bring

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs and working with API-driven workflows.
  • A basic understanding of server-side concepts to support API development and integration.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices.

Helpful experience

  • Experience working with enterprise IT systems.
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols, including OAuth and SAML.
  • Exposure to cloud-based services.

Technologies you’ll work with

JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Angular, and REST.
