Job Description

The Web Developer at Ki Mobility is responsible for creating and maintaining websites, including the integration of applications, video, graphics, and other content. This role focuses on delivering brand-consistent digital experiences by ensuring responsiveness, performance, and maintainable front-end implementation in collaboration with designers, product managers, and backend developers.

Stevens Point, WI (onsite)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-quality front-end code using HTML and CSS.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces that function across multiple browsers and devices.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to turn mockups into functional components.
  • Support the design and ongoing maintenance of UI component libraries.
  • Optimize site speed, asset delivery, and code organization.
  • Debug and resolve UI issues across browser and environment variations.
  • Work with backend developers to integrate APIs and related services.
  • Maintain consistent branding and UI patterns across company websites.
  • Stay current with front-end and UX/UI practices, recommending tools and processes that improve team workflows.
  • Coordinate with colleagues, IT, and managers to identify improvements or upgrades to site functionality.
  • Review written code to ensure it meets industry standards and remains compatible across devices.
  • Track relevant trends and participate in continued education as needed to maintain web development proficiency.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly work environment.
  • Perform assigned duties in a manner that supports Ki Mobility’s company values.
  • Report to work as scheduled, on time, and be able to work the entire assigned schedule.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge and best practices in front-end code.

  • Strong knowledge of semantic HTML (Living Standard) and modern CSS, including Flexbox, Grid, and Custom Properties.
  • Understanding of UX principles, accessibility (WCAG 2.1+), and responsive design.
  • Ability to translate design mockups into functional, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows (branches, pull requests, and code reviews).
  • Comfort working in modern development environments such as Visual Studio Code and Eclipse.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • High adaptability to changing business needs and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work extended hours as scheduled, including weekends.

Minimum Experience and Education

  • Minimum experience: 2 years
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Web Design, or an Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Web Design

Additional Qualifications

  • Education with experience alignment: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Web Design, or an Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Web Design with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Required: 2-5 years of professional front-end web development experience with a strong foundation in modern HTML and CSS.
  • Required: Experience in graphic design.
  • Required: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), WordPress, and Microsoft Office.
  • Required: Proven success in project coordination and website management.
  • Preferred: Proficiency with JavaScript.
  • Preferred: Experience with SOLIDWORKS or 3D modeling software.
