Senior Application Developer

Gallagher Bassett is hiring a Senior Application Developer to plan, design, and build software systems and applications from concept through production. In this onsite role in Rolling Meadows, IL, you will work across the application lifecycle, partnering with architects, product managers, and end-users as you code, test, debug, and document solutions.

This position supports development of applications used in local, networked, cloud-based, or internet-connected environments, with scope ranging from middleware and legacy systems to mainframe-related work. You will also take ownership of products, systems, and processes while guiding and reviewing the work of more junior professionals.

Role scope

• Manage products, systems, and/or projects/processes with independent execution and limited supervision.
• Address IT function-related problems that can be difficult and moderately complex.
• Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.

How you will make an impact

• Specialize in planning, designing, and developing software systems such as middleware, legacy, and mainframe, moving from concept to series production.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document program requirements while collaborating with architects, product managers, and end-users.
• Plan, design, and develop software systems from concept through production for local networks or cloud-based programs.
• Code in relevant languages.

What you bring

• Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.

Compensation and location

• Location: Rolling Meadows, IL (onsite)
• Salary: USD 89,500 - 174,500 per year
