Job Description
The YGS Group is seeking a Web Developer to analyze, design, develop, test, and implement the company’s platform technology. The role involves building C# and PHP applications, developing back-end services, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This onsite position is based in York, PA and requires a minimum of two years of experience along with a high school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the creative design team and clients to shape the interface and user experience for web based solutions, including e commerce sites, interactive storefronts, and web to print interfaces.
- Develop familiarity with YGS storefront development solutions and serve as an information resource for staff.
- Craft original code or coordinate with external resources to support interactive and web based tools under guidance from the Director.
- Ensure all solutions undergo thorough testing and adhere to defined quality control procedures to maintain functionality from start to finish.
- Participate in launch meetings with stakeholders from web development, customer service, sales, fulfillment, and related teams.
- Support project objectives by providing constructive feedback and coordinating organizational resources to address issues promptly.
- Apply effective principles and techniques of web programming and design.
- Establish and maintain a reputation for innovation and creativity.
- Stay informed about current trends in web based marketing tools and tactics.
- Apply the latest techniques in new media and technology.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies and standards.
- Provide additional time as needed to meet business demands.
Requirements
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in designing and programming web based solutions.
- Proficiency with ASP.NET C# and/or PHP for extending CMS, eCommerce, or related systems.
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, with a preference for responsive layouts.
- JavaScript experience, including the use of libraries such as jQuery.
- Relational database experience with SQL and MySQL.
- Working knowledge of object oriented programming and MVC frameworks.
- Experience with MV* JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
- CSS preprocessor experience.
- PHP experience is required.
- Experience developing on CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress, and Umbraco is preferred.
- Experience working in both Windows and LAMP server environments.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain a fast pace and work under pressure, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines in a dynamic agency setting.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Outstanding prioritization and time management capabilities.
- Solid analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Effective project management skills with the ability to handle multiple high profile, competing projects.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
