GIS Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain front-end GIS applications and user interfaces.
• Partner with project teams to deliver intuitive, responsive web-based mapping experiences.
• Integrate GIS data and services into client-side applications.
• Work with APIs, mapping libraries, and geospatial visualization tools.
• Assist back-end development when needed, including Python scripting, integrations, and ETL workflows.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and performance optimization efforts.
• Help document technical processes and uphold development best practices.

Requirements

• At least three years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building GIS or geospatial applications.
• Strong front-end development skills using modern JavaScript frameworks and web technologies.
• Experience with mapping libraries or GIS platforms such as ArcGIS or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with responsive UI/UX design principles.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
