iOS Mobile Software Developer II

Rocket Companies is seeking an experienced iOS Mobile Software Developer II to contribute to high-impact iOS projects from our Seattle hybrid office. You will design and implement complex iOS systems, collaborate with product and design teams, and drive iOS best practices while leveraging AI code generation tools to document, architect, and create code. The position offers a compensation range of USD 139,100 to 170,100 per year.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver sophisticated iOS projects that influence how users make one of the biggest life decisions.
• Collaborate with teammates through code reviews, documentation, refining engineering practices, and building maintainable, well-tested codebases.
• Partner with product and design to translate user and business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Champion iOS design principles and best practices across the team, incorporating industry trends when relevant.
• Utilize approved AI code generation tools to document architecture and generate code.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years of native iOS work.
• Hands-on experience building iOS apps in Swift and a solid grounding in computer science and software engineering fundamentals.
• Strong communication skills enabling collaboration across teams and levels, with constructive debate and respect for others' viewpoints.
• Keeps up with iOS community trends and continuously seeks ways to improve products.
• Enjoys working with a talented team to elevate individual performance.
• Passion for clean, well-architected, readable code.
• Experience running experiments and using experimentation frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with AI code generation tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.

On-Call Expectations

This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly.
