Software Engineer IV
Job Description
Magnetic Analysis Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer IV to design and develop software solutions for Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) systems. This onsite role in Elmsford, New York, calls for strong multi-language software experience and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver reliable test systems used across multiple industries. The position offers a competitive compensation package with a salary of USD 148,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits program.
Responsibilities
- Integrate vendor supplied SDKs to build interfaces that operate with hardware from multiple suppliers, using each vendor's API and library functions.
- Develop software to support advanced high speed phased array scanning systems.
- Create logic displays for multiple phased array applications across various industries.
- Interface software with databases for storage and retrieval of test data.
- Collaborate with other engineers and management to establish common functions across product lines.
- Provide customer support in the field, addressing application and software problems, including on-site visits when necessary.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of experience developing PC applications using modern C++ and C#.
- At least 7 years of experience with embedded applications using C++.
- FPGA programming experience with Verilog or VHDL is a plus.
- Experience with modern .NET and WPF UI frameworks.
- Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) is a plus.
- Strong analytical abilities with proven software engineering experience.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English, with good interpersonal abilities.
- Professional demeanor, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to learn, high motivation, and initiative.
