Revenue Recovery Solutions is seeking a Junior Ruby on Rails Developer to join a fully remote team based in Florida. The position offers a yearly salary of USD 70,000 and seeks individuals who are ready to grow within a collaborative, remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Build, extend, and refine features in Rails applications to meet evolving needs.
- Deliver clean, readable, and maintainable code across projects.
- Diagnose issues, fix bugs, and assist with ongoing application support.
- Implement user interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance usability.
- Handle relational data and work with databases to support application functionality.
- Engage in code reviews and collaborate with teammates in a distributed, remote setup.
- Create and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality.
- Document technical decisions, features, and development processes for clarity.
- Learn existing systems and gradually take ownership of assigned features.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience working with Ruby; some professional or internship experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Basic understanding of Rails conventions and the MVC architecture.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with relational databases and basic SQL queries.
- Experience using Git or another version-control system.
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and web application development.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Clear communication, ability to manage work, and effective collaboration in a remote setting.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
