Backend Developer (Ruby on Rails)

This Backend Developer position with Compest Solutions Inc focuses on building and scaling core business services and APIs using Ruby on Rails. The role also supports a transition toward a distributed microservices architecture and requires integrating services across multiple programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and scaling of core business services and APIs.
• Build robust, high-performance backend applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Design and develop scalable services as the platform evolves toward a distributed microservices architecture.
• Support integration across services built using multiple programming languages.
• Improve backend performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable software solutions.

Requirements

• Strong, hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails backend development.
• Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Java and Go (Golang) for backend development and service integration.
• Strong problem-solving and software engineering skills.
