CNO Software Engineer
Job Description
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a CNO Software Engineer for onsite work in Annapolis Junction, MD, focused on Computer Network Operations missions. In this role, you will research and analyze objective software and hardware, apply reverse engineering techniques, and deliver reliable operational software.
The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph and strong experience building and debugging software in constrained environments, with hands-on expertise across C++ and reverse engineering toolchains.
Responsibilities
- Follow the organization’s documented test and release process.
- Examine and document ARM architecture, and communicate observed behavior of objective systems to stakeholders and teammates.
- Perform development using CI/CD practices, including GitLab for builds and merges.
- Analyze operational needs and platform integration requirements to derive capability functional and quality requirements.
- Conduct low-level debugging to troubleshoot software and system defects.
- Design and implement solutions that can operate in resource restricted environments, typically using Objective C or C.
- Write or review software and system documentation.
- Help develop and execute test procedures for software components.
- Communicate clearly with engineers, stakeholders, and customers in a team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer on programs and projects of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Alternatively, 4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
- Key skills: C++, Objective-C, ARM assembly (thumb, 32, 64), and Python.
- Reverse engineering experience using tools such as IDApro and Ghidra.
- Familiarity with WiFi standards and protocols is a plus.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (onsite). Compensation: USD 206,550 - 279,450 per year. Travel: None. Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required.
