PartsBadger LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Developer to design, deploy, and support highly automated, high-mix/low-volume machining within the FastLane program, including 3+2 axis milling and UR cobots.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Software Developers to align automation goals
- Plan and close tasks within the Project Management Software (Jira)
- Select, integrate, and deploy automation technologies across the program
- Provide support and respond to tickets promptly
- Install, update, and maintain automation technology
- Design, manufacture, and assemble parts and components for automation systems
- Write code in HTML and JavaScript for interfaces and tooling
- Test ideas and technologies to validate concepts
- CNC programming in Fusion and other CAM software as needed for testing
- CNC machine setup and operation in test cell environments as required
Requirements
- Machining industry tooling knowledge
- 3+ years programming 3+2 axis milling
- 3+ years setting up 3+2 axis machines
- 1+ years experience with automation technologies
- Robotics experience
- Pneumatics knowledge
- A/C and D/C electronics familiarity
- Ability to learn Fusion and other CAM software
- Above average CAD modeling ability
- Ability to learn HTML and JavaScript quickly
- Above average computer skills
- Ability to learn independently
- Flexible and adaptable mindset
- Fast worker and quick thinker
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

Position at a glance
PartsBadger is scaling the FastLane rapid machining program, a highly automated, high-mix/low-volume system centered on 3+2 machining centers and Universal Robots cobots. This role reports to the VP of R&D with coordination by the program lead.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, in-office and shop-based role with locations in Cedarburg, WI and West Bend, WI. PartsBadger offers a relaxed, casual office culture and a clean, organized, dynamic shop. All work areas are environmentally controlled. The company maintains AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications.
