About the role
As a Software Engineer within Lockheed Martin's Enterprise Sustainment Solutions team, you will contribute to software design, development, testing, and lifecycle activities. You will work with SQL, Oracle, Python, and CI/CD tooling to deliver solutions that address complex engineering challenges and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Operate as a Software Engineer within the Enterprise Sustainment Solutions business area.
- Contribute design solutions for intricate engineering problems across the software development life cycle.
- Improve product design to add or update functionality based on operational scenarios and customer requirements.
- Plan, execute, and coordinate software development activities.
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that solves business and mission problems using logical and mathematical approaches.
- Apply established standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
- Translate high level requirements into detailed software specifications and design documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering related discipline with a software development life cycle background.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: SQL, Oracle database, Python.
- Experience with Gitlab or equivalent CI/CD tools.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience providing software basis of estimates (BOEs) to support engineering proposals.

Location and work setup
Onsite, Orlando, FL. This is a full-time onsite role requiring presence at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work schedule
Primary schedule is a 4x10 hour day week, providing three consecutive days off. Lockheed Martin also offers alternate schedules to add flexibility beyond the standard 40-hour week.
Security and eligibility
This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be a US citizen and be eligible for a Secret clearance.
