Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer role in Orlando, FL (onsite, contract) supporting real-time systems development under an Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time embedded software using C/C++ on Linux targeting multi-core processors
• Integrate software and firmware to align with project specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
• Use GitLab and Bitbucket in day-to-day development workflows
• Maintain compliance with required security protocols to support an active Secret Clearance
• Support system improvements and troubleshoot issues during development and deployment

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance with most recent investigation in the last 5 years
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college
• 5+ years embedded C/C++ real-time software development experience using Linux on multi-core processors
• 5+ years hands-on experience integrating software and firmware
• 3+ years experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) using GitLab and Bitbucket
• Working knowledge of Yocto operating system (preferred)
• Familiarity with Data Distribution System (DDS) middleware programming (a plus)
