Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description
Senior Embedded Software Engineer opportunity for a cross-functional team building embedded system security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior staff software engineer on a cross functional team focused on the next generation of embedded system security.
- Work on research-oriented efforts alongside award winning teams delivering practical national security solutions.
- Contribute to software design as part of an MBSE initiative.
- Support practical embedded development involving bare metal software, including memory map interfacing and remote debug.
- Maintain flexible scheduling with a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off work (if desired).
- Collaborate with teams to apply standards and methodologies to solve engineering challenges.
Requirements
- Education + experience: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering (or related STEM field) with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Security clearance: Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire.
- Selected candidates will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required due to work performed within company facilities.
- Knowledge of C in embedded environments.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols.
- Knowledge of GitLab.
- Knowledge of code coverage and static code analysis tools: Parasoft / CppCheck.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as RSTP, VLAN, PTP (and related topics like Auto Negotiation / Link Training).
- Experience and/or knowledge of Anti-Tamper / Security.
- Expertise applying technical standards and methodologies to engineering problems.
- Exceptional communication skills to secure buy-in on concepts and ideas.
- Collaborative team player with interest in technical leadership and enabling others’ success.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for self and others.
- Ability to identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Salary
- USD 149,831 - 159,000 per year
