Job Description
Lockheed Martin in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Senior Mission Planning Software Engineer to contribute to cross‑platform missile performance modules. The role blends robust C++ development with C# interfaces used by mission planning applications, all performed onsite at the Orlando facility. You will join a dedicated team focused on delivering reliable software for complex defense systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements to shape software solutions.
- Design and implement components in C# and C++ within the Visual Studio environment.
- Create and maintain test cases, procedures, and drivers for software components.
- Integrate newly developed components with contractor‑provided modules.
- Develop and sustain UI and web‑based applications as needed.
- Leverage training in C/C++, bring prior GUI development experience, and work with Linux OS.
- Coordinate integration with sub‑contractor developed C++ components.
- Travel within CONUS may be required to support customers, users, and integration activities.
Requirements
- Experience with .NET and C# development.
- Strong background in C++ software development.
- Solid software architecture knowledge.
- Experience designing and implementing algorithms.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Visual Studio experience with the .NET Framework.
- Interim Secret Clearance to start; U.S. citizenship is required.
