Job Description

Lockheed Martin in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Senior Mission Planning Software Engineer to contribute to cross‑platform missile performance modules. The role blends robust C++ development with C# interfaces used by mission planning applications, all performed onsite at the Orlando facility. You will join a dedicated team focused on delivering reliable software for complex defense systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements to shape software solutions.
  • Design and implement components in C# and C++ within the Visual Studio environment.
  • Create and maintain test cases, procedures, and drivers for software components.
  • Integrate newly developed components with contractor‑provided modules.
  • Develop and sustain UI and web‑based applications as needed.
  • Leverage training in C/C++, bring prior GUI development experience, and work with Linux OS.
  • Coordinate integration with sub‑contractor developed C++ components.
  • Travel within CONUS may be required to support customers, users, and integration activities.

Requirements

  • Experience with .NET and C# development.
  • Strong background in C++ software development.
  • Solid software architecture knowledge.
  • Experience designing and implementing algorithms.
  • Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Visual Studio experience with the .NET Framework.
  • Interim Secret Clearance to start; U.S. citizenship is required.
