Staff Software Engineer 1

Join a multidisciplinary team developing simulation tool technologies for Department of Defense planning operations, building software critical to projects and national security.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and debug applications using C++
• Conduct software analysis, including code analysis, requirements analysis, and software review
• Perform object-oriented analysis and design (OOA and OOD)
• Build and extend graphical user interfaces and visualization capabilities
• Execute software testing and support quality assurance
• Support, maintain, and document software functionality
• Provide software support and bug fixes

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field (education requirement)
• 2 to 5 years of employment experience in software development and computer programming
• Demonstrated proficiency programming in C++
• Knowledge of the C++ programming language
• Experience developing Microsoft .NET applications using Microsoft Visual Studio
• Experience requirements include familiarity with desktop application development and event-driven, object-oriented programming design
• Highly desirable familiarity with 3-D visualization and SQLite databases
• Independent and self-motivated work style
• Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to work in a team environment
• Eligibility to obtain a DoD security clearance, including U.S. citizenship
