Senior Full Stack Developer and Product Owner: Real-Time Intelligent Communication Systems

Entratus is advancing real time, context-aware intelligent conversation systems, and we are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer and Product Owner to own the development of a real-time Python application, lead a team, and coordinate with a project manager to ensure timely delivery. This role combines hands-on engineering with strategic product ownership, guiding architecture and roadmap in a high-availability environment. The position is based in Orlando, FL with remote work options and may require some travel to offices in Orlando or Deerfield Beach, Florida; candidates in Florida or Georgia are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, promoting best practices and high-quality code.
• Coordinate with a Project Manager to plan sprints, manage timelines, and allocate resources to align with business goals.
• Own the architecture and design of scalable, real-time communication systems using Python, Node.js, Redis, containers, and cloud technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement of development processes and system performance with a focus on low-latency, high-availability pipelines for AI-powered applications.
• Develop and refine real-time communication frameworks and ensure seamless integration with existing scalable systems.
• Apply asynchronous programming and multi-threading to maximize performance and scalability.
• Maintain up-to-date awareness of emerging trends in real-time communications and AI integration.
• Leverage asynchronous programming and web frameworks such as FastAPI, Uvicorn, Aiohttp, and Asyncio; manage data with Pandas, Openpyxl, Numexpr, Python Dateutil, Tqdm, and Pydantic Settings.
• Work with databases and search vectors using SQLAlchemy, Psycopg2, and Pgvector; explore ML/NLP tools like LangChain, Tiktoken, Litellm, and Semantic Router.
• Handle configuration and environment management with Python Dotenv and Toml; utilize Azure Storage Blob for cloud storage.
• Implement communication and task queues with Redis and BullMQ; monitor quality with Sentry SDK; test with Pytest.
• Build backend services in Python and integrate them with Node.js components; develop frontend elements as needed for seamless integration.
• Define the product vision and roadmap for the real-time platform; translate cross-functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Prioritize tasks and manage the product backlog to ensure timely delivery; act as the main liaison for stakeholders on updates and technical solutions.
• Lead the development of communication frameworks and ensure efficient message passing across distributed systems.
• Improve system scalability and reliability through containerization and cloud services; integrate ML/NLP tools and context-aware features.
• Establish testing strategies and implement robust error monitoring and logging to ensure reliability.
• Manage configuration and environment settings; leverage Azure and other cloud services for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Adopt best practices for cloud-based infrastructure and distributed systems; mentor junior developers and foster continuous learning.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure platform alignment and successful integration across components.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with a strong Python and Node.js background.
• Proven leadership experience managing developers, technical projects, and timelines.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, multi-threading, and distributed systems.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (Azure, AWS).
• Proficiency with Redis and real-time communication frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to drive technical initiatives; strong communication and collaboration with project managers.
