Lockheed Martin's Artificial Intelligence Center invites a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to STAR.UI (Mission Autonomy), focusing on AI-enabled software development and lifecycle delivery within the STAR.OS portfolio. This part-time, hybrid role is based in King of Prussia, PA, offering the chance to collaborate across teams while providing mentorship to junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI-enabled software products that deliver advanced capabilities to customers
- Engage in every phase of the system development lifecycle, from requirements and design to implementation, integration, and flight testing
- Participate in activities ranging from proof-of-concept work and prototyping to demonstrators and production handoff
- Apply current computer science principles, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms, to craft solutions for complex problems
- Utilize concurrency through threading and multiprocessing and work with I/O, block storage, and database interfaces
- Assume technical lead responsibilities and mentor junior engineers as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with Angular, React, or Node
- Strong understanding of Git
- Experience with DevOps tools (Docker/Podman or Kubernetes/Helm or GitLab/GitHub/Jenkins CI/CD)
