Software Engineer
Job Description
Software Engineer position at Lockheed Martin RMS focused on developing and integrating RF system software in an Agile Scrum setting, utilizing C++, Linux scripting, and Qt GUI with hardware interfacing and documentation duties, onsite in King of Prussia, PA.
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily scrums, bi weekly sprint planning, release planning, and demonstrations
- Develop software to interface with hardware components
- Integrate open and modular hardware and software compliance for RF systems
- Collaborate in a cross functional Agile Scrum team to design and build technically complex software systems
- Define sub system architecture and requirements, perform detailed software design, generate design documentation, implement software via test driven development, and support feature acceptance testing
- Support current software architecture including C++ development, Linux scripting, and Qt GUI work, using Git for configuration management
- Foster cross team collaboration and promote software development best practices
- Work closely with the Product Owner, Software Architect, and Chief Engineer to support customer design reviews and milestone events
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, engineering, or related STEM field
- One year of professional experience with a related Bachelor's degree; or no experience required with a related Master's degree
- Security clearance required prior to start: Top Secret
- Experience with object oriented programming
- Experience with software practices and configuration management tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence
