Software Engineer Staff

The Software Engineer Staff role (Level 4) with TS/SCI clearance is based onsite in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. This position contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex mission software and database applications for the Paragon program within Lockheed Martin Space E&T division.

Responsibilities

• Leverage knowledge of hardware, software, data processing techniques, and input from subject matter experts and system users to develop software applications.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Architect, implement, document, test, and debug software that provides logical and mathematical solutions to mission and business challenges.
• Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Engage in code peer reviews, application demonstrations, data analysis, and test planning and execution to verify alignment with software intent and standards.
• Prepare operating instructions, generate development documentation, and analyze system capabilities.
• Participate in failure investigations, anomaly resolution activities, and retrospective events.

Requirements

• Backend application software experience on Linux using C/C++ or Java (one or more languages).
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum).
• Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and innovation in delivering software that meets mission requirements and efficiently resolves defects.
• Experience designing, testing, and debugging complex software with multiple interdependencies and interfaces.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required, with willingness to obtain a poly.
