Job Description

Lockheed Martin’s CommandIQ team is seeking a UI/UX Software Engineer with an AI specialty to help translate ambitious roadmaps into usable software features. The role sits at the intersection of design and engineering in an agile environment, collaborating with partners across disciplines to meet customer needs and drive architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Break down high level roadmap features into concrete, actionable tasks
  • Design, develop, and integrate features, with testing included
  • Perform peer reviews and troubleshoot issues with fellow engineers
  • Contribute to technical discussions to address overarching software architecture needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deepen understanding of project requirements and stakeholder needs

Requirements

  • Experience with UI/UX design and the iteration process using tools such as Figma, MockFlow, UXPin, and Axure
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools integrated into the UI/UX workflow (Figma AI, UX Pilot, Google Stitch)
  • Frontend development experience with Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Knowledge of Docker and REST APIs
  • Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience; an advanced degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience
