Software Engineer Sr - Level 3

Based onsite in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, the Senior Software Engineer (Level 3) role supports Lockheed Martin Space on an Agile team delivering mission-ready software for space systems, including planning, sensor optimization, and satellite constellation management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and simulate high level operational plans to explore feasible defense options for future space scenarios and to defend critical space assets.
• Continuously optimize both ground and space borne sensors to enhance space domain awareness.
• Strategically plan the placement and maneuvering of satellite constellations to satisfy shifting priorities and evolving requirements.

Requirements

• Experience designing and documenting microservice based architectures.
• Proficiency in software development using JavaScript, HTML, Python, and/or C#.
• Understanding of application containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
• Effective communication and a collaborative work style.
• Strong presentation skills.
• No clearance required to start, but must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance; US Citizenship is required.
