Software Engineer Sr

In this Senior Software Engineer role on the RMS program, you will design and build robust software systems in an agile environment, support media build generation, manage external network interfaces for data ingest and offload, and collaborate with stakeholders across leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement technically complex software systems within an agile scrum framework.
• Assist in generating reliable and reproducible media builds.
• Support external network interfaces for data ingest and offload, and contribute to hardware rack builds.
• Maintain program lab infrastructure and perform on-site hardware installs and integration efforts.
• Engage with internal leadership, external customers, and cross-functional teams, including presenting technical concepts as needed.
• Communicate technical capabilities clearly to diverse internal and external audiences.

Requirements

• Experience with Linux technologies.
• Experience in network engineering.
• Experience with software configuration management tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.
• Willingness to obtain a Top Secret SCI security clearance (no clearance required to start).

Ability to work remotely

Part-time remote telework is available. The selected candidate will split time between remote work and a Lockheed Martin facility, with the weekly schedule discussed during the hiring process.

Work schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate schedules to provide flexibility. The schedule for this position is a 4x10 hour day arrangement, three days off per week. Condensed schedules may be offered in addition to standard paid time off benefits.
