Location and schedule
Location: Washington, DC 20591 onsite.
Work schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day onsite, with flexibility within a two-week pay period to reach 80 hours.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud service delivery models and architecture to support PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS.
- Automate cloud resources following DevSecOps best practices.
- Assess applications to determine which platforms can move, migrate, or be deployed to the cloud across multiple areas.
- Provide strategies for failure recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses across cloud, cloud agnostic, and on-site services.
- Develop and implement cloud applications, migrate on-premises apps to the cloud, debug cloud stacks, govern cloud service usage, evaluate new technology requests, establish a secure cloud environment, and ensure appropriate availability and uptime design.
- Work independently to design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.
- Apply knowledge across multiple assignments, using originality and innovation to determine how tasks are accomplished.
- Operate with substantial latitude in developing methodologies and presenting solutions to problems.
- Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Experience with major cloud service providers (AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, or Google)
- Deploying and managing infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure ARM templates
- Implementing and maintaining security best practices for cloud environments
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and processes
- Establishing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems for cloud resources
- Optimizing cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to performance and availability
