Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data architectures to support intelligence operations and accommodate increasing data volumes.
- Create automated ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines from multiple sources, including handling non-standard datasets.
- Develop storage solutions optimized for intelligence needs using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for both batch and real-time processing to ensure timely access to critical intelligence data.
- Institute data quality controls and monitoring to maintain data integrity and reliability.
- Tune queries and data access patterns to support rapid data retrieval by analysts.
- Apply data governance practices and QA processes to ensure alignment with IC standards.
- Document data lineage and metadata to support provenance requirements.
- Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive information in line with classification guidelines.
- Collaborate with intelligence analysts to translate complex data needs into effective technical solutions.
- Participate in JIOC intelligence planning conferences, 12 working groups, intelligence system capability development meetings, joint and national intelligence coordination boards, and technical exchanges with mission partners.
