Job Description
Seeking a TS/SCI cleared software engineer to design, develop, and sustain GEODS Catalog enterprise data services for a federal program in Springfield, VA. The role includes advancing AI and ML integration within the GEODS Catalog ecosystem and offers hybrid work options.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full software release lifecycle from preparation and build through deployment and post‑release monitoring
- Participate in code reviews and sprint planning sessions
- Attend daily stand‑up meetings to discuss progress and blockers
- Write clean, well‑documented code
- Create unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Implement new features based on specifications
- Analyze existing application processes and recommend improvements to boost efficiency
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and operations teams to deliver timely and reliable software components
- Develop and execute test plans, support formal testing, and resolve defects
- Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure defects and questions
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience; years of experience may substitute for a degree
- 2 years of experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform and technologies including SDKs and CDK or similar cloud tooling
- Familiarity with GitLab
- Experience designing scalable APIs and backend services

Compensation
Salary range: USD 80,000 to 150,000 per year
