Software Engineer (Full-Stack/AI Focus)

Amentum Advanced Solutions is seeking an onsite Software Engineer in Tullahoma, TN to design enterprise software and AI/ML data pipelines while ensuring DOE compliance and security. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software applications.
- Implement AI/ML data pipelines and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems for mission-critical workflows.
- Ensure all deliverables meet DOE compliance, security standards, and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and cross-functional teams to support national security and customer objectives.
- Participate in peer code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, support production debugging/incident response, and assist in onboarding or mentoring junior engineers as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other Engineering Field with AI hands-on experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development (.NET, Python, React/Blazor)
- Proven experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with AI/ML integration, RAG systems, and data pipeline engineering (ETL, NiFi, Spark)
- Familiarity with secure/regulated environments (DOE compliance, IP whitelisting, secret management, audit-ready logging)

Work Environment

Compensation
Salary: USD 80,000 to 110,000 per year. The compensation range listed is a good-faith estimate for the time of posting; actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable agreements, and relevant laws.
