Software Engineer/ UI Tech Lead Level 3 or 4

Northrop Grumman is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to lead a small, high-performing development team focused on building and evolving UI applications deployed in cloud environments. The role encompasses full-stack responsibilities across backend services, frontend UI, and cloud operations, with Agile leadership. Location: Aurora, Colorado, onsite.

Responsibilities

• Lead a compact, high-performing development team dedicated to building and evolving UI applications deployed in cloud environments.
• Apply hands-on, full-stack experience across backend services, frontend UI, and cloud operations.
• Extend existing UI platforms with new capabilities and enhancements.
• Champion Agile development practices to guide efficient delivery and collaboration.

Requirements

Level 3

• Bachelor's degree in Science with 5+ years of software development experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of relative experience; or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Level 4

• Bachelor's degree in Science with 8+ years of software development experience; or Master's degree with 6+ years of relative experience; or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Requires an active Top-Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility at the time of application.
• Ability to pass a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) (not required to start).
• Experience with Full-Stack Development: design, implement, and maintain backend services such as APIs and data processing.
• Ability to analyze existing UI codebases to identify opportunities to extend functionality, improve performance and scalability, and ensure maintainability.
• Familiarity with Agile Processes.
• Experience producing and maintaining architectural diagrams, API specifications, and developer guides.
• Experience with TypeScript/Node.js, React or equivalent (Angular, Vue).

Salary Ranges

Primary level salary range: $114,000.00 – $171,000.00

Secondary level salary range: $142,200.00 – $213,400.00
