Software Engineer (AHT)

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Software Engineer with an AHT focus to join an on-site team in Bellevue, Nebraska. The position spans the full software development lifecycle, emphasizing solid software engineering practices and Agile collaboration to deliver capabilities customers rely on. You will collaborate with software designers and engineers and regularly demonstrate progress to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and as part of an Agile team to deliver software components.
• Support the team in delivering software on schedule.
• Address complex problems with innovative and practical solutions.
• Collaborate with software designers and engineers in planning, design, development, and use of software systems.
• Provide regular demonstrations of progress to customers.

Requirements

• A high school diploma with at least 6 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with at least 2 years of software development experience.
• Master of Science in a STEM field with 0 years of software development experience.
• Experience as a Full Stack Software Developer.
• Demonstrated experience in C and C++.
• Proven experience with Linux operating systems.
• Working knowledge of Agile development processes.
• Familiarity with test automation practices and tools (Integration testing, Unit testing, Behavioral testing, e.g., GoogleTest, Eggplant).
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with small technical teams.
• Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to achieve project results.
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite.
• Ability to work full time on-site in Bellevue, NE.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Security Clearance.
