Job Description
Build and strengthen embedded software for mission systems with a team focused on cybersecurity, software assurance, and secure engineering practices. This onsite role in Baltimore, MD supports the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment, with hands-on work in real-time operating systems used in flight and mission-critical contexts.
Salary: USD 87,600 - 131,400 per year. Travel: up to 10% of the time. Clearance: Secret clearance required to start, with ongoing maintenance required for continued employment. U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate SSE software for a scrum team focused on Cybersecurity, software assurance, secure coding practices, and security-focused engineering trade studies.
- Perform system vulnerability scanning, remediation, and patch management activities.
- Create and execute unit tests, develop build verification test plans, and track and report test status.
- Review software products, software designs, and supporting technical documentation.
- Participate in technical peer reviews to help ensure system and software requirements are met end-to-end.
- Contribute to requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products.
- Work in an embedded technology development environment with real-time operating systems for use in flight and mission-critical systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Systems Engineering, Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Test, within an Agile software development process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience (additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Secret Clearance required to start; must be able to maintain the level for continued employment.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start; must be able to maintain this access for continued employment.
- Experience working with C/C++ and/or Python.
- Experience with Agile software development, embedded system programming, software integration, and testing.
- Experience in System Security Engineering, Program Protection, or Cybersecurity.
