Job Description

The Principal Cyber Software Engineer role focuses on designing and developing specialized cyber software tools and establishing end-to-end data flow and tasking into those tools. The position is based in Jessup, MD (onsite) and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance (or the ability to obtain another polygraph).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide custom software design and development of specialized tools and techniques.
  • Design and develop end-to-end data flow and tasking into the tools developed.
  • Author documentation for developed solutions.
  • Participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews in alignment with Government software development procedures and processes.
  • Develop applications across platforms, including:
    • Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments.
    • UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments.
    • Embedded or mobile platform development using proprietary, GOTS, or open source build environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Education and experience aligned to the level requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or network engineering with 2 years of experience.
    • Master’s degree with 0 years of experience.
    • PhD with 0 years of experience.
  • Current, active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance, or willingness and ability to obtain another polygraph.
  • Experience programming in Python or C/C++.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging systems.
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree discipline (computer science, information systems, or network engineering).

Compensation and Schedule

  • Salary range: USD 119,600 to 187,900 per year.
  • Primary level salary range: $119,600.00 - $187,900.00
  • Work schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule (where available).
