Job Description

Build mission-ready cloud applications and help advance capabilities supporting the Air Force within DAF CLOUDworks at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL). This onsite role in Niceville, FL combines full life-cycle Agile development with customer-facing technical support, plus the opportunity to improve reliability, performance, and deployment efficiency. The position also includes access to health and time-off benefits, company-paid holidays, and additional compensation elements such as discretionary bonus and overtime (depending on the position).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance capabilities supporting DAF CLOUDworks at the AFRL.
  • Provide technical support to customers leveraging DAF CLOUDworks.
  • Modify and enhance offerings to meet new requirements, improve functionality, increase efficiency, and reduce operating and deployment overhead.
  • Follow Agile development processes and support full life-cycle development.
  • Interface with multiple, geographically dispersed teams and communicate project status and blockers effectively.
  • Support 24x7 on-call when required.

  • Experience developing full-stack web applications using TypeScript, React, Node.js, CSS, Lambda, APIs, NoSQL databases, and Python.
  • Experience with UI styling.
  • Understanding of version control systems (including Git).
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
  • Experience developing applications using Agile principles, processes, and tools.
  • Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience in cloud adoption, environment prototyping, and data migration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or IAT Level II equivalent per DoD 8570.01
  • Prior development experience with the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Strong understanding of web security, including WAF, SQL injection and XSS prevention, and authentication/authorization through Zero Trust workflows (IAM, RBAC)
  • Experience with GitLab runners and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with document databases such as DynamoDB
  • Exposure to frameworks such as React, Angular, Java, JavaScript
  • Experience with SonarQube or other static code analysis frameworks
