Principal Cyber Software Engineer
Job Description
Principal Cyber Software Engineer (Level 1 CNO Analyst/Programmer) role at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, focused on custom tool design and end-to-end data flow/tasking into mission tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom software for specialized tools, techniques, and related capabilities
- Build and implement end-to-end data flow and tasking into tools developed for operational needs
- Create and/or author technical documentation
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and software readiness reviews in alignment with Government software development procedures and processes
- Develop Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments
- Develop UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments
- Support embedded or mobile platform development using proprietary, GOTS, or open-source build environments
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or network engineering (or Masters/PhD equivalent) with experience aligned to degree level: Bachelor’s with 4 years, Master’s with 2 years, PhD with 0 years
- Security clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph; must be willing and able to obtain another polygraph
- Experience with Python or C/C++ programming
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
- Software analysis or reverse engineering
- CNO development concepts, tools, and techniques
- Unit testing frameworks and practices
