Software Engineer Level 2 or 3 (AHT)

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Software Engineer to support its Space Systems team in Boulder, Colorado. This onsite role combines development of high-performance Python applications with low-level hardware interaction within an agile environment, with Secret clearance required and 25% travel.

Role Summary

In this position, you will connect performance-focused Python work with direct hardware interfacing. The environment is agile, and the work includes diagnosing complex technical issues. Active clearance requirements apply for application and for start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between high-performance Python applications and low-level hardware interaction.
• Diagnose complex issues.

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance at time of application.
• Solid understanding of the Python programming language.
• Proven understanding of CI/CD pipeline processes.
• Familiarity with version control using Bitbucket.
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience (additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience (additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
• Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.

Compensation

• Primary level salary range: USD 91,800 - 137,600 per year.
• Secondary level salary range: USD 114,000 - 171,000 per year.
