Principal Cyber Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Designs, sustains, and enhances complex software systems across domains such as analytics processing, novel algorithms, handling very large data sets, real-time environments, and management information systems, all aligned with documented requirements.
• Contributes as an individual contributor or collaborates within a team.
• Reviews and validates software components to ensure adherence to design requirements and documents testing results.
• Debugs and resolves software defect reports.
• Applies appropriate software development and design methodologies suitable for the development environment.
• Provides detailed input on system design for software components, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS options, and cascading requirements analysis from system level to individual components.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required to start.
• Minimum five years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Experience translating user requirements into software design and performance requirements.
• Experience designing and coding new software or modifying existing software to add features.
• Experience debugging and correcting defects in software.
• Must obtain customer approval.
