Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to develop command and control software for autonomous air vehicle platforms. This role covers the full software lifecycle—from requirements and design to coding, testing, integration, and flight testing—utilizing languages such as C, C++, or Lua. The position is on-site in Marietta, GA and requires U.S. citizenship along with a government security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of creating command and control ground and mission control software for a range of autonomous air vehicle platforms.
- Navigate the technology development lifecycle, including requirements generation, software design, coding, testing, integration, and flight tests.
- Perform integration tasks across host systems, including live assets, simulated environments, and laboratory setups that combine constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Government security clearance is required.
- Facility access with special clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
- Experience with C, C++, or Lua.
- Experience developing on Windows or Linux platforms.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
