Job Description

Cognizant offers a role that centers on leading end-to-end UiPath automation and guiding development teams to build scalable RPA solutions. This hybrid position is based in Dayton, Ohio with three days in the office each week, and it prioritizes a healthy work-life balance through wellbeing programs.

Responsibilities

Design and govern RPA solutions using UiPath, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and SDLC/Agile practices; review designs and enforce coding standards across iterations.
Produce detailed design artifacts and collaborate with Architects and SMEs to validate requirements, estimate effort, and guide delivery teams.
Develop proofs of concept to validate new automation capabilities and partner with process owners to identify opportunities and build a compelling business case for automation.
Plan and execute unit, integration, and system testing; coordinate UAT with business users and drive defect resolution through to closure.
Incorporate NLP, OCR, and AI or GenAI capabilities within RPA solutions and contribute to opportunity assessments to determine the best automation approach.

Requirements

7+ years of hands-on RPA and automation development experience, with a proven track record designing and delivering complex, enterprise-grade automations using UiPath capabilities such as Agentic Automation, Intelligent Automation Platform (IXP), Communications Mining, Document Understanding, UiPath Apps, and Action Center.
Proficiency with core UiPath components including Studio, Orchestrator, RE Framework, Queues, Triggers, Assets, Exception Handling, Storage Buckets, and Cloud Orchestrator.
Strong programming background in .NET, VB, C++, or similar Microsoft technologies, with the ability to write SQL queries and DML statements.
Experience assessing automation opportunities and integrating AI/ML capabilities such as NLP, OCR into end-to-end RPA workflows.
UiPath certifications in Agentic Automation Professional, Specialized AI Professional and Automation Developer Professional, or Automation Solution Architect Professional.
Demonstrated experience supporting business case development and presenting proof of value for automation initiatives.
