Job Description

The Software Developer will design, implement, and sustain modeling and simulation software from concept through deployment. Based in Dayton, OH, this onsite role collaborates with engineers and scientists to deliver robust, scalable simulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, and debug software applications primarily using C++.
  • Develop and maintain modeling and simulation software following industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of new software features.
  • Write clear, concise, and well-documented code.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Participate in code reviews and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
  • Deploy and maintain applications on Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Develop test plans and execute testing procedures.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and trends in software development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development using C++.
  • Strong experience with modeling and simulation principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in developing applications for Windows and Linux environments.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility.
