Thomas & Reed, LLC is hiring a Software Engineer to build and validate cloud-connected software systems with a strong UX focus.

Plan, design, develop, and validate software systems and applications centered on user experience (UX) innovation
Enhance existing products and deliver new solutions, especially for cloud-based platforms and internet-connected tools
Create intuitive, high-performance UX applications that support product differentiation and improve customer satisfaction

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in software development
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++, applied across different development environments
Experience across front-end and back-end development with a strong grasp of full-stack architecture and integration
Knowledge of Agile methods, including Kanban and Scrum, with hands-on experience working in iterative development and collaborating with teams
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, including deployment and service integration
Working knowledge of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL, for data modeling and efficient access
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for teamwork across multidisciplinary groups
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
Hands-on GUI development experience using modern tools and frameworks, with emphasis on usability and performance
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices to support secure design and implementation
