Software Engineer

Pinnacle Partners, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer for a hybrid role in Indiana. This position is paid $150,000 USD per year and provides strong support for the work you do building and operating a client cloud platform, including backend services, APIs, integrations, and production monitoring.

What you will do

You will act as a key technical owner for a client’s cloud-based platform, designing and delivering backend capabilities that support high-volume data processing. The work spans Azure-hosted services, CI/CD, and operational tooling, along with internal web applications that help teams run and monitor the platform.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and modern .NET platforms
• Build and support systems for high-volume data processing
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and data access patterns
• Create and maintain integrations with external customers, technology partners, and third-party platforms
• Support cloud infrastructure and application services hosted in Microsoft Azure
• Develop internal web applications and operational tools using Blazor and ASP.NET Core
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and service-to-service communication
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support deployments across development, testing, and production
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and improve reliability and performance
• Collaborate with product, support, operations, and integration partners to gather requirements and design solutions

What you bring

• 7+ years of professional software development with strong expertise in C#, modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, backend API design, and SQL Server/T-SQL (including query optimization and large datasets)
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core and deploying or supporting production applications in Microsoft Azure
• Experience building distributed systems using messaging, queues, background processing, or event-driven architectures, including designing and consuming REST APIs
• Experience with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred

• Experience with IoT, telematics, connected vehicles, or high-volume telemetry systems
• Experience with Azure cloud services, gRPC, GraphQL, SignalR, Blazor, or Azure DevOps
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID
