Software Engineer

Insight Global is hiring multiple Software Engineers to build and maintain secure web applications and cloud infrastructure in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for web applications and cloud infrastructure
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices using sound software design and design patterns
• Support system design, application development, and improvements to IT infrastructure, scalability, and system reliability
• Apply version control and CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery) to enable collaborative development and releases
• Collaborate with technical and cross-functional teammates to clarify requirements, review code, and deliver iteratively

Requirements

• Ability to meet eligibility requirements to earn a security clearance; specific requirements depend on the role and applicable rules

Experience

• Experience in software engineering and software development, including web development, Agile software development, and scalable systems
• Familiarity with programming languages and tools such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, React, Express, Java, Python, C, C++, or VBA (experience with some is relevant)
• Knowledge of SQL and MySQL, Linux, Git, and GitHub
• Understanding of REST, APIs, and RBAC (role-based access control); knowledge of cloud infrastructure is valuable
