Responsibilities

Lead local and remote teams to maximize impact and ensure full integration of developed products and services
Design, build, and maintain fleet coordination and mission management systems, plus modular API integrations for a diverse customer base
Develop software driven automation solutions including RPA and UAS applications
Create operator dashboards, internal tools, and automation layers that work with real-time operational data
Develop processing and analysis pipelines for drone video and sensor data, incorporating computer vision and AI enabled automation
Integrate with and extend autopilot and flight control systems such as ArduPilot and MAVLink to support autonomous flight
Own projects end to end from problem framing through deployment while juggling multiple priorities
Make field observations by visiting operational sites 1 to 2 times per month to identify real world workflow improvements

Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering; other degrees may be considered with relevant experience
5 to 10 years of experience in software engineering, automation, software development leadership, and related roles
Experience integrating AI/ML programming environments to boost coding efficiency
Demonstrated ownership, autonomy, and accountability in previous roles
Strong hands-on builder who writes code and ships production ready solutions
Experience with one or more of the following: RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate), general-purpose programming (Python, JavaScript, etc.), APIs, integrations, and data pipelines
Experience designing and implementing end-to-end automation workflows
Comfortable working across multiple teams and projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and documentation skills to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
